Testimony Thursday!

I go live on TikTok Monday through Friday at what I like to call 8 am 'divine time'. I call it divine time, because I heard Iyanla Vanzant mention once that everything happens in divine time and when I began doing this live 'show' I decided off the top that I was not going to put pressure on myself to get it done. I would aim to be consistent but also gentle with myself.

Anyway, the name of the Live is 'Coffee and The Word' (It's also offered on this site in another format if you are interested.) and that is literally what we do. I make my morning coffee, and sip it while reading and studying the word.

One of the first regular attendees to this live was a women I'll call Ms.V. Right off the bat, Ms.V developed the habit of 'coining the day'. Each day when she joins us she names the day, or the month, something that is meant to edify and support us. For example we've had Thirsty and Thankful Tuesday, Miracle May, Just Get It June, Miraculous Monday... and I share ALL of this just to get to this point: last Thursday she coined the day Testimony Thursday.

Now, again, I have to be honest and admit that when I first heard that my soul whispered, 'Yep, it's time for you to give yours,' and contrary to what I usually do I agreed instead of questioning it. 'Yep,' I thought to myself, 'just as soon as I get this contract signed I'm going to testify because then I'll have the proof of my faith.' I had forgotten that, that is not how it works. That's not how any of this works.

FAITH is the evidence of the things we hope for. Slow down and really look at those words. Read them to yourself. Think about what they are saying. This is the definition of Faith, it includes the word Hope. So Faith and Hope cannot be the same thing. Too many of us think that this difference is in degree; that hoping for something lacks the surety that being faithful includes. Or perhaps we see the word faith as meaning a multiude of things so it's that surety of the thing we hope for and it's also the surety of belief that what the Bible tells us is all factual.

This definition, however, clearly shows us that there is more to FAITH. Here we see that Faith Is The Evidence of the Things we Hope For. So when someone comes to us and says to us how do you know that thing that you say God has promised you is going to come to past? If we are Faithful then we should have some evidence to show them. The evidence of Abraham was the circumcision of everyone in his household, DESPITE the fact that his mind should have told him that his wife Sarah was too old. The evidence of Noah was the Ark, the Lord didn't send the water until Noah had finished the ark. It was tangible evidence of what he had heard from God.

The truth is that walking in Faith will often have you looking foolish....to the world. But there is a purpose in it, DOING the thing that might make you look foolish is the proof of your Faith in the promises of God.

I suppose I said all that to say that, while it's not Thursday...I'm decreeing it Testimorny Tuesday and finally being obediant and acting on my Faith. I'll be posting my Testimony, done in a podcast style format, to youtube by the end of the week but definitely recording it today. If you're interested in hearing my story which will touch on all three arms of CLASS-Consulting (Mind~Body~Soul Coaching, Corporate CLASS Consulting, and Beaulah Greens) be sure to check back for postings here.
